This family is pretty screwed...You got..

 

1. The mother is a slut=> She leaves her husband for some other guy and abandons her own kids.

2. The father then leaves the kids because his wife has been taken from him and he can't deal with it.

3. The kids wanted their family counsellor to marry their father to make him happy, however the counsellor rejected this offer

4. The stepfather still doesnt know he has two twins.

I dunno...I personally like all the advertising because it makes the world colourful (hehe!) but like...I think that currently, advertising has invaded too much of our private space. It definitely has.

 

1. The trapped miners. Normally, attention would be solely on the miners and their recovery + safety however, this huge story has attracted a media + marketing circus. The town has been flooded with journos everywhere, big networks seven and nine are auctioning for the rights to "their story", the miners have been given Macdonalds and Ipod, the story has been used to fuel anti beazleyism and promote unionism. Come on!

 

2. Football Jackets. Watching a 5 year old little boy running around with this huge red Vodafone label stretched out on his back. The kid probably doesnt know that his back is being used as free advertising space for Vodafone. It doesnt harm the kid. But urgh. I know it happens. But srsly!! Do you understand?

 

3. Charity. Like it is great how corporates are giving to charity and whatna, but to use charity to promote their business. The Royal Macdonald house is an example. I mean, talk about introducing Royal Macdonald to little kids eh! And what about that ad for "guidedogs". Its sweet at the start but at the end you realise that the true purpose of the ad is to promote Kleenex (or one of their sponsors)

 

IT is just frustrating....

I love trash..

 

Ok I admit that I am addicted to trash. Trashy mags like NW, Star, OK...trashy reality tv like "the biggest loser, Aus idol, Big Brother"...and other tv like "a current affair/today tonight". I am addicted to conflict, unrest and backstabbing...For this reason...this year is like..my year..oh yeh!

 

Things that keep me happy and preoccupied...

 

1. SEVEN vs NINE. I love it! Its like an all out war. In response to NINES partnership with MSN, SEVEN joined Yahoo. After the successful ratings of SEVENS morning news with the Sunrise team (who are just awesome!), NINE recruited a chirpy annoying shorthaired chick (forgot her name) to make their morning news team more friendly and likeable. Tonight, A current affairs (NINE) completely bagged Dancing with the Stars (SEVEN), calling it biased and rigged, since Channel SEVEN personalities seem to be the only ones winning... A few minutes later, on Today Tonight (SEVEN) they ran a segment which promoted Dancing with the Stars, unofficially responding to rumours of it being "rigged" by suggesting that contestants dont win on merits based on dancing well but having the "whole package" like Grant Denyer (who is a SEVEN weatherman and is tipped to win). Then there was the fight for broadcasting rights for the Com games, AFL, Tennis...The two current affairs shows are constantly showing each other up, running basically the same segments on the same nights but with a different twist as well.. Personally I like Channel SEVEN better and I hope they win because I like Sunrise and Naomi Robson (shes so pretty). But then again...I like Eddie Maguire so I hope that NINE is successful too. But atm all I am watching is Big brother really anyways...

 

2. Big Brother. Ok Big brother is really hot this year. Big brother realllly stirred things up and the contestants are bitching and boiling and fighting.... Theres like a whole bitch war going on with... Karen (plastic mum)/Krystal (Fake plastic "hot" daughter)/Tilly (ugly tryhard) vs Anna (Hot, Britney spears Blonde with attitude prob)/Camilla (intense fake butt sucker)...Ohhh its intense...the Big Brother twist came where Anna and Camilla were evicted from the house, taken to a secret "revenge room", allowed to watch who nominated them and then had the option to "take revenge on those who outed them and cause havoc in the house", before returning to the house two days later, armed with all that they know. Ouch. And everyone knows that they know who nominated them. Today was a day filled with backstabbing (mainly by Karen + Krystal), fighting between the clans, random tears for attention and affection (Karen) and butt sucking (Tilly goes up to Dino and basically tells him that she doesnt want to lose him to Anna and forgetting the memories they shared...oh please *i roll my eyes...he kind of got scared i think)

 

Karen/Krystal Versus Anna.

 

Krystal talks nice...like shes some moral, down to earth princess who can do no wrong but she acts mean...shes constantly backstabbing Anna (and ANna hasnt done anything bad to her), her mother Karen says that Anna as no morals, no personality (without any supporting evidence), Karen also broke down crying because she didnt want to share a bed with Anna (wtf?) To which a mini crowd gathered around her bed... Anna talks mean (she swears alot and the things she says sometimes arent the nicest and sometimes she does act selfishly..) however, throughout this whole bitchfest, Anna has acted respectfully. She said things to their face and afterwards, she seemed to get past it all, she moves on..whilst the others continually backstab her. Krystal basically hates her for no reason and continually tries to turn people off her and she just kind of doesnt give a ship...

 

Tilli is feral. I hate her. LIke seriously, she was going on about how if Anna and Camilla stayed during the nominations, she wouldnt be on the chopping board next week. Like seriously she thinks shes so good. And she wears too much blush.

 

3. Gossip Magazines. OMG I am K-Fed up! Why doesnt Britney spears just dump him? OMG and Nicole Richie wrote a book about Paris..like w0w..and like u know nick wants jess back? but shes like...nah uh.."i have this new comedian boyfriend now whose like so funny so lets just finish this divorce now..." and like bragelina are having problems? serves him right....now he has to put up wif her mood swings and her commitment issues..apparently ryan seacrest is going out wif teri hatcher..that is like sooo wrong...omg and tom cruise left katie holmes? omg..u dont just leave the girl u jumped on Oprahs couch for! And Eminem broke up with Kim again...like we could like sooo see it coming...and apparently his mum has cancer and now hes payin her med bills...hopefully he wont take that back either...omfg have you seeeen Oprah? Shes faaatttt..her ass is like...this wide and like...her yoyo dieting is obviously failing again...and u no posh? yeh well she might get osteoporosis...and apparentlly Paula Abdul is a little cuckoo..

 

4. Soap Operas. Whenever theres not enough stimuli watch The Bold and the Beautiful. Wow...now Ridge has dumped Taylor for Brooke (Again) ...but like Brooke is in love with her daughters ex husband, also Ridges brother, Nick. But one day Ridge needed to use Brookes shower and then as he came out..he tripped over and he just happened to fall on Brookes bed naked whilst Nick came in and saw. Nick was depressed and so he went out drinking when he came across Taylor and they both got drunk together out of depression. They ended up making out whilst Brooke looked on....Oh yeh! And Bridget, (Brookes daughter), realising that her husband was in love with her mum, is now raising  Felicia and Dantes baby together with Dante. (Felicia is Ridges sister)
